The Twin Research Unit is one of 12 European collaborators in this 4 year study which started in 2003. GenomEUtwin aims to capitalize on the special advantages of Europe in population genetics by efficient collaboration of twin researchers, genetic epidemiologists, molecular geneticists and mathematicians. The goal is to identify critical genetic and life-style risk factors for common diseases using European strengths in genetics, epidemiology and biocomputing.
