'Linkage disequilibrium mapping and positional cloning for gene identification in osteoporotic families' (Ref: 294402)

We are working on this study in conjunction with the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. The study started in 2004 and is due to end in 2006. The aim of this project is to identify disease associated genes from linkage peaks for bone mineral density (BMD), which we have previously identified in genome screens of twins and families with a history of osteoporosis.
